MICRONEEDLING TREATMENT
At Knott Street, we now offer SkinPen treatments as it is the first microneedling device cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, clinically proven to safely and effectively treat facial acne scars.
Microneedling can also be used to treat fine lines and improve skin’s texture, tone and pigment. During this treatment, tiny needles are utilized to create micro-injuries or channels into the skin in order to produce collagen and elastin. The skin’s repair process results in a thicker dermis, improved fine lines and wrinkles, and overall skin texture. This treatment can be paired with PRP to further enhance results.

What you need to know about Skinpen Microneedling:

How to Prepare for the Treatment:
- Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate. Drink at least 60 oz of water daily starting at least two days before the treatment.
- Discontinue blood thinning agents such as vitamin E, vitamin A, ginkgo, garlic, flax, cold liver oil, & fish oil.
- Avoid aspirin, Advil, Motrin, Ibuprofen, Naproxen, Voltaren and other anti-inflammatory medications 7 days prior to procedure. Products Post Microneedling we recommend:
Elta MD silvergel, which is antimicrobial and soothing for the skin post procedure.
Etla MD Barrier Renewal Complex, clinically proven to moisturize the stratum corneum and improve dry skin. Strengthens your skin barrier and promotes skin cell turnover.
