Facials can address a variety of skin concerns including dull skin, dehydrated skin, and acne prone skin. This treatment is intended for patients with sensitive skin who are not candidates for a chemical peel and patients looking for a deep clean.
Facials usually consist of a deep cleaning, followed by pimple/blemish extraction, Exfoliation, a mask or peel, a hydrating massage and a final application of moisturizer, eye cream and SPF.
Key benefits of a facial:
- Smoother skin
- Hydrated skin
- Glowing complexion
- Acne clearance
- Acne prevention
Here at Knott Street Dermatology, we focus on skin health and facials area great way to get started. We do encourage medical grade skin care(hyperlink) to your everyday regimen to enhance the results from a facial.
Additional Treatments to Pair With a Facial:
- Dermaplaning add on to exfoliate the skin while removing the outer, dead layers of skin
- Microneedling, or Collagen Induction Therapy, by stimulating your body’s organic ability to produce collagen.
- Broad Band Light (BBL) therapy is another great addition to a chemical peel. BBL uses pulses of light to remove unwanted pigmentation.
A dermaplaning-facial starts just like a facial treatment, during the exfoliation stage of the facial we use a scalpel blade to exfoliate which removes vellus hair or “peach fuzz” from the face. Dermaplaning also exfoliates the skin at the same time and opting for it during a facial will help our medical grade skin care better penetrate the skin for optimal results.
